COVID-19 has changed our lives in many aspects, and corona blue has become a big problem in our lives. However, here is one unchangeable fact: there shall be small but valuable happiness around our lives. There are tiny happy moments and helpful lifestyle tips that we can find and use in school life.

Reliable Peers

As a high school student, you would have so many things to do, such as performance tests, studying for the mid-term and final exam. However, you would also realize that you are not alone because there are a lot of peers in SAWL who are doing their best together to make dreams come true. We get motivated by watching them, and, becoming tired, we can rely on them, too. Classmates, seniors and juniors, roommates, and friends in clubs are such valuable people who shine your life in SAWL.

Roommates

The dormitory is one of the main identities of SAWL life. Most Sawlians are living in Pine Hall and Azalea Hall dorms. Usually, four to six students share a dorm room a semester. They can bond over school life and stories of daily lives. The dormitory harmony photo exhibitions also can be an opportunity for relationships between roommates that can be closed.

Classmates

Being together for almost nine to ten hours for a day from morning self-study time, seven class periods and two night-time self-studying periods, classmates are precious. Sawlians do not just study in the classroom or self-study room, but they make memories with their classmates.

As introduced in the official class accounts on Instagram, Sawlians share small but valuable happiness in a lot of moments. Giving and receiving snacks like chocolate is such a beauty of school life.

Mentor & Mentee, Club members

The mentor-mentee relationship in SAWL usually starts forming in the orientation program, SAWL START. Mentees can get small tips on adapting better for school lives, and mentors feel worthwhile to be reliable.

When the exam gets closer, Sawlians share some presents like energy bars to cheer their mentors, mentees, and club members.

The relationship between club members also can be an energizer for the SAWL life, because usually there are members with similar interests in the club. Those relationships are unique, being the opportunities to be closer to the students in different grades.
