Do you know about The TIME 100 Next? 

The TIME 100 Next is a chart that selected 100 next-generation leaders who are creating the future in various fields such as business, entertainment, sports, politics, health, science and activism. It is a list that highlights the world’s most promising young individuals. 

It is inspired by TIME’s annual The TIME 100 Next. Due to the complexity of the selection process, it is not always possible to measure the impact of an individual’s influence. As in any other year, prominent people were selected for The TIME 100 Next in 2022. Here are some artists, phenoms, innovators and leaders selected and introduced by the field.

1. Artist- SZA

SZA is an American R&B singer-songwriter whose first EP was released in October 2012. See.SZA.Run was released on its own. Her first studio album was praised by music critics for its June 2017 release of Ctrl, and debuted at number three on the Billboard Albums Chart. It recorded platinum based on RIAA and was also selected as Time magazine’s 2017 album of the year. 

 

In December 2017, she released the remix track “The Weekend (Funk Wav Remix)” with DJ Calvin Harris, and included “All the Stars,” a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, on the soundtrack to the film Black Panther.

 

If you type her name on music charts such as Melon, you can see that the songs she featured on are more popular than her own. She is featured on three of the five songs on the Billboard 100 list. Although she is famous for being on other songs, it’s highly recommended that you listen to her own songs because they are also fantastic. 

2. Phenom - Jung Ho Yeon

Jung Ho Yeon has been the hottest actress in Korea since 2021. Jung Ho Yeon is the first Korean actress to appear in The TIME 100 Next. 

She continues her global syndrome, including winning the SAG Actress Award, decorating the cover of Asia’s first solo Vogue US and being nominated for the 74th Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a drama. This is due to the huge craze for Squid Games. 

Because of this craze, she confirmed to appear in Apple TV+’s American drama series Disclaimer, directed by world-renowned master Alfonso Cuaron and starring world-renowned actress Cate Blanchett in March 2022. As she has become a representative actor in Korea, every Korean hopes that she will continue to show good performance.

3. Innovator - Samantha Kerr

As a professional soccer player, Samantha Kerr is known for playing for Chelsea FC in the English Women’s Super League. She also captained the Matildas, Australia’s national team. As of 2022, she is the all-time leading Australian female soccer player. 

She is additionally the all-time leading goal-scorer in the NWSL (National Women’s soccer league) in the U.S. Kerr is famous because of her speed, skill, tenacity and backflip goal celebrations. Her performance in the striker position shows why she is the best female soccer player. 

It can be seen in the game FIFA 23 that she is represented as a soccer player. You can experience the basic manipulation and training center until all the games are installed on FIFA 23. The players to choose from are world-class soccer players like Kylian Mbappe and Samantha Kerr. They are also the cover models of FIFA 23. Originally, there were only men’s soccer players in the FIFA series, but women’s soccer players were added to the FIFA 23. 

The fact that she was chosen as the first cover model for the first time in a soccer game with a female soccer player means that her ability is enormous. Soccer fans hope that not only men’s soccer but also women’s soccer will become popular through her.

4. Leader - Lawrence Wong

Lawrence Wong is the current Singaporean finance minister and candidate for the next prime minister. Originally, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat was a strong candidate for prime minister, but when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, and the opposition Labor Party won double-digit seats for the first time in the 2020 general elections, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had to postpone his retirement and find a new prime minister. 

Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat also declared that he would not take the next prime minister post, saying, “A younger person should lead Singapore.” 

Lee hoped Heng Swee Keat would lead Singapore as Prime Minister until his son grew up, but Lee had to choose another prime minister candidate after Heng Swee Keat’s fall. Wong won the support of 15 ministers in politics, with 19 ministers participating. With the exception of Minister Wong himself, all but three have pointed to Minister Wong. Through this process, Lawrence Wong was selected as the next prime minister, and in the future, Lawrence Wong will lead Singapore with his fourth-generation group.

After studying at Michigan University and Harvard University in the U.S., Wong returned to Singapore and entered politics in 2011. While serving as finance minister, he emerged as a strong candidate for the next prime minister as he co-chaired a joint government task force in response to COVID-19. He emphasized teamwork at a press conference after he was nominated for prime minister. He cited the rapidly changing economic environment, such as overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation and low growth trends, and the growing demand for political diversity in Singapore as tasks facing the next Cabinet. His ability will give further stimulation to Singapore’s development.
