The 18th generation of Chinese majors went on a trip from May 5 to 11. Two classes of Chinese major students moved together, so they could enjoy their trip with another class. They went to Beijing and Shanghai for seven days.

In Beijing

On their first day in China, they went to watch the cultural performance, House of Golden Masks. On the second day, they went to Beijing Foreign Language University. At the university, university students guided their campus tour. They also asked some questions to the university students. After the campus tour, they toured the Great Wall by cable car. With that, they could see the Great Wall directly with their eyes.

The next day, they went to Beijing Foreign Language High School (BFLHS), which is affiliated with Beijing Foreign Language University. In the morning, they had a class exchange with them. They experienced the class of another foreign language high school. In the afternoon, they went boating with some of the students from BFLHS near the high school. Afterward, they went to Nanluoguxiang, the shopping street. Sawlians were able to experience many parts of Chinese culture. They went to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City on the fourth day.

In Shanghai

On the fifth day in China, they went to the Oriental Pearl Tower, which is 468 meters tall. Then they went to the Shanghai History Museum, where they saw many ancient things. After joyful touring, they did free touring in the old streets of Shanghai. They got some special missions, and they toured with teams.

That night, they went to the Bund. They rode a cruise ship on the Huangpu River, and they could watch the beautiful scenery of Shanghai at night. The sixth day in China was just for Disneyland. They enjoyed many rides at Disneyland and saw beautiful fireworks.

On the last day in China, they visited the Shanghai Former Provisional Government Site of the Republic of Korea. The provisional government was a historical site of Korea. While there, they could learn more about Korean history and see how the Korean provisional government tried hard for independence.

The most memorable activity is Disneyland. We went to Disneyland and enjoyed many things with friends. We could enjoy many rides there and take pictures in beautiful spaces. We also ate many things in that park. After playing, we could see a wonderful fireworks display. We expected the fireworks so much, and it was as wonderful as we expected. Because we spent almost the whole day in Disneyland, it was my most memorable activity during international exchange.

The School Life and Events department of the PRESS will report on the 2024 second-grade exchange program in a four-part series.
