People are restricted during this current pandemic. We cannot go outside freely and frequently. Internet shopping and online content increase in value, while travel agencies and duty-free shops face financial difficulties.
During this pandemic, people try to do something new like exercising, crafting, etc. to keep their minds occupied. People living and consumption habits are also changing. Many industries are trying to grab their minds by using their image and unique marketing strategy.
Netflix is a company that provides online video service to people. It has a lot of genres that many people can enjoy in their house. It has a reasonable price to watch. Netflix provides algorithm services to match their customers’ likes. This algorithm service is well-elaborated that many filmmakers can benefit as well.
However, there are Netflix syndrome-disorder that people experience due to the large content. The decision-making disorder appears in front of a large amount of content in different genres. This vast content usually ends with only previews because people can’t easily decide what to watch. As Netflix syndrome increases, sites that recommend content by category are drawing attention.
Coupang, the online shopping mall, is used by people frequently due to the pandemic. Coupang has a strategy that attracts many people. They provide rocket delivery for their customers that pay a premium. Rocket delivery means they will quickly deliver the goods just like a rocket. When customers order goods they need, a Coupang delivery man brings them the next day.
Another online shopping mall that people frequently use is Market Kurly. Market Kurly chooses good foods and fresh vegetables and sells them at a reasonable price. This company delivers goods around midnight and help people to eat their breakfast easily. Many people go to work early in the morning, but they can’t eat breakfast when there is no food. The CEO of Market Kurly said that she hopes their service can help these people.
Both of these online shopping malls are very popular among customers. They have high satisfaction rates regarding their services.
COVID-19 is changing the whole world, and our lives are also changing. Untact generation events and many things are done online. In this confusing society, these companies help people to live a better life even in this challenging situation, and people also use them usefully. In the long run, we have to find more solutions to cope with COVID-19.
