Alone or Lonely?

Image
written by 20215 Lee Shi Hyeon Everyone feels lonely every now and then. It can’t be helped. Loneliness may very well be one of the few constants in our lives. What triggers it, however, still remains a mystery. Loneliness isn’t necessarily linked to seclusion, contrary to popular belief. Many introverts may prefer being alone as opposed to being surrounded by a group of people. Hearing one say that they feel lonely because of this fact is fairly unlikely. This is mainly due to this decision being an intentional one. Introverts are known for opting to stay out of the spotlight or in heavily populated areas. It’s understandable they wouldn’t want to be in an environment where they would feel uncomfortable by having a bunch of eyes staring back at them. Thus, it’s only natural that introverts would choose to distance themselves from others. A lack of friends can’t be the main reason for it either. It could be considered a fairly good reason for someone to feel lonely. Alas, there are too

The world's nations, including Korea, have links in all kinds of fields such as economy,  media, diplomacy and more. This is why it is natural for various benefits and losses to occur. In the midst of this, the war that many media talk about called the U.S.-China War is making countries nervous.   What is the U.S.-China War? The U.S.-China War is an economic conflict between China and the U.S. which is also called “The war without gunshots.” The U.S.-China War is causing many negative effects on the U.S. and China, such as rising consumer prices in the U.S. and slowing economic and industrial production in China. First of all, the war has had a major impact on Korea’s investment delay, financial market instability and exchange rate fluctuations.

The sports industry is one of the spheres which has received the significant effect of COVID-19.  It directly influences sports institutions, professional sports teams and sports fans which are three main components of the sports industry. Most of all, sports teams’ ways of making a profit and communicating with their supporters have shifted a lot in comparison with before COVID-19.   Before COVID-19, the sports industry’s main source of revenue was commercial and high ticket prices. The Reorganization of the Working Hours System

Image
written by 10328 Hwang Yerin     The Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor announced that the working hours system would be reorganized on March 6th. So there are many considerations about the reorganization in Korean society.   In Korea, a total of 52 hours, 40 hours of basic statutory working hours, and 12 hours of overtime for a week after an agreement between the worker and the company was made. The 69-hour workweek system refers to a system in which the maximum working hours per week are increased to 69 hours, but the subsequent working hours are reduced by the amount of overtime worked over 52 hours or compensated with leave. People know it as ‘69 hours working time’. It is true but there are some misunderstandings. The reorganization plan maintains the frame of '52 hours per week' (basic 40 hours + maximum 12 hours of overtime). And workers and employers are allowed to operate working hours on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis. So, every week, it is possible to work 69

Old English is one of the West Germanic languages and differs from Modern English in many ways. In terms of grammar, Old English had personal pronouns that were singular, plural, and dual. They were more formal than those in modern English. Regarding vocabulary, the alphabet of Old English was significantly different. It was influenced by Runic in the early days and Latin in the later days. Since Old English was affected by Latin, it incorporated religious and academic words. Furthermore, Old English lacked derived words from Latin and French.
