Here is part two of the six-part series on students going physically to school.

All schools nationwide should not carry out face-to-face education during the pandemic due to the reason of riskiness and the merit of online education.

There is no good reason to endure numerous risks derived from the virus and force students to attend school in person. The pandemic isn’t over. Millions of people around the world are still getting infected and dying from the deadly virus. Thus, forcing the students, regardless of age, to physically attend school every single day is merely a shortcut to increasing the infections.

Although some people for offline education might claim that vaccines would make students safe, most of the students in Korea are not vaccinated. Not only the students, since South Korea is still ranking low for the worldwide vaccination rate, students are also at risk of being infected by the virus in various locations.

Thus, highly contagious diseases such as COVID-19 would cause numerous infections at school.

Moreover, handling online classes for more than a year and a half made students keep up with their work online. Therefore, students are capable of being productive in their work and also being safe from the virus.

Since there are various platforms students can use online like ClassDojo, Google Classroom, Zoom and more. Online classes can produce the same results for students as offline education.
