World Trip After the Pandemic - Canada
Sawlians learn Chinese, French, Russian, English and Japanese as their major language for three years. When they are in 2nd grade, they travel abroad to a country that uses their major as the national language. It is a chance for them to directly learn the culture and make new memories.
Every second-grader was looking forward for the trip this year; however, it was canceled this year due to COVID-19. Instead of being disappointed by the current situation, we can plan an itinerary for traveling after the pandemic is over. Here are some places in Canada that are recommendable from the PRESS in the fourth part of the series “World Trip After the Pandemic”.
1. The Butchart Gardens
This national historic site is located at Brentwood Bay. Being one of the most beautiful and most visited gardens on Earth, the gardens have more than a million visitors each year. The Butchart Gardens contain over 900 types of plants. There are also outstanding performances such as jazz bands, modern folk music, and ballet done on the Concert Lawn every summer night.
2. The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
Located in Vancouver, it has nine types of giant trees, hundreds of years old, which hold up the bridges and make the forest’s scent and fresh air. The Capilano Suspension Bridge is located across the Capilano River. It was first built 127 years ago with hemp ropes and a deck of cedar planks; however, now it has been replaced by wire cables, which can hold up to 123 tons.
3. Stanley Park
It is the first park and the most iconic place in Vancouver. Stanley Park is a National Historic Site that is a vast kid-friendly public park. There are forest trails, a miniature railway, the Vancouver Aquarium, tennis courts, playgrounds, beaches, a pool, a spray park, and even a golf course to relax, explore and exercise.
