Some Sawlians learn  Russian either as their major language or minor language if they are an English major. When they are in 2nd grade, they can travel to Russia. They use the Russian that they have been learning to make new memories with their classmates.

This year the trip to Russia was canceled due to to COVID-19. Instead of being disappointed by the current situation, you can plan your own itinerary for traveling around Russia after the pandemic is over. Here are some places that are recommendable in the third part of the series World Trip After the Pandemic.

1. The Kremlin

The Kremlin is a medieval architecture that is the heart of Russia. Its high walls are all red, at one point symbolized communism, the Cold War, and the Iron Curtain. Inside the fortress is the presidential office. Near the Kremlin walls are the tombs of Lenin, Stalin and others at the center of Russian politics.

Walking down the western wall of the Kremlin is the “Fireless Flame.” It was ignited in St. Petersburg in 1967 and then moved to Moscow. The flame has continued to burn in honor of those who died or were victims in World War II.

2. Hermitage National Museum

It is known as the winter palace in Russian. However, it does have other names like Hermitage, Yermitashi and Yermitage. The Hermitage is not only a national museum representing Russia, but it is also one of the top three museums in the world. People can enjoy the building’s majesty under the blue sky since it was built in a wide square. At night, you can see a magical night view.

3. Peterhof Palace

If there is a winter palace, there must be a summer palace. The combination of white, yellow, and gold is so pretty that it is the perfect place to take pictures. Watch the light green spring and the blue summer, the colorful fall, and the snowy winter, and be the master of Russia.
