Precious Trip to Jeju Island

The 16th generation of Sawlians went on a three-day field trip from October 5th to 7th. This is the first school trip since COVID-19 started, and the first trip to Jeju Island in nine years. Let’s take a look at the enjoyable Jeju Island trip of the 16th generation!

The first day was very sunny. Sawlians went to four places on day 1. They toured the Hangpaduri Hangmong ruins, Jeju Olle trail, yacht experience and Oedolgae road. Out of the four places they went to,  they chose the yacht experience as their favorite. It’s because they were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the blue sea and the cool wind, and they also had time to enjoy fishing.

“The yacht experience was the most fun. This is because I could feel the coolness with delicious snacks and drinks on the sea.”

The second day’s weather was also good. Sawlians rode rail bikes and toured Seongsan Ilchulbong, Jeolmul Natural Recreation Forest and Jeju 4.3 Peace Park. Especially in Jeju 4.3 Peace Park, they could learn about the history of Jeju 4.3 incident through the Memorial Hall inside the park.

“Rail Biking was the most memorable activity! I could feel the nature of Jeju Island by looking at the scenery and cute animals while riding a rail bike.”

 

Also, there was some recreation time at night, which included a talent show. Many of them participated in the talent show and showed off their talents.

“I didn't know there were so many talented students in SAWL. Dancing, singing, rapping, and a teacher's special performance! It was a memorable time.”

The last day was sunny and windy. They toured the Nohyung Supermarket, Hyeopjae Beach and Ma Park. Sawlians waved goodbye to Jeju as they enjoyed their final day at the island.

“Hyeopjae Beach was the most memorable. I made happy memories with my classmates by taking pictures on the sandy beach and looking at the blue sea.”
